Reflecting Traditions: Mirror Embroidery Workshop

VMOTA is partnering with Persian Place to host a Mirror Embroidery Workshop to introduce participants to the traditional Persian art of mirror embroidery. This interactive workshop will highlight its cultural significance as a symbol of water, purity, and light.
Engaging in mirror embroidery fosters mindfulness, as the rhythmic stitching requires focus and patience, creating a meditative state that enhances creativity and inner calm. The repetitive, intentional movements help quiet the mind, reducing stress and promoting overall mental well-being. This practice not only connects participants to a rich cultural tradition but also serves as a powerful tool for relaxation and self-expression. This event is appropriate for participants who are age 12 and up.
