Miguel Castro Leñero, born in 1956 in Mexico City, is a prominent artist who studied at the National School of Painting and Sculpture La Esmeralda. He has participated in exhibitions inside and outside of Mexico, winning numerous awards. His work is featured in important museums and collections internationally. In 2006, he developed a project in Italy with the Civitella Ranieri Foundation and in 2018 collaborated with Hermès on textile projects exhibited in Milan. His work has also been published in books, including Animales del Nuevo Mundo in collaboration with anthropologist Miguel León Portilla.
