ARTIST STATEMENT

Skies and oceans — Mother Nature loves cerulean blue.  Finding the “Prism Play” call for entry and receiving the cerulean blue color card provided the opportunity to salute the ocean’s majesty. 

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES

Materials: Hand dyed and commercial cottons, hand dyed and painted cheesecloth and scrim, cotton batting, and polyester and cotton threads. 

Techniques: Strip piecing and raw-edge applique.
