WHO WE ARE

Visions Museum of Textile Art (VMOTA) is a premier national venue for viewing and exhibiting contemporary art quilts and textiles.  VMOTA’s history began with the founding of Quilt San Diego in 1985 to present the prestigious international juried biennial, Quilt Visions.  In 2007, volunteer members organized a community build and developed a permanent venue for the Quilt Visions and Interpretations biennials and to present fiber art exhibitions year-round. Located in the historic Liberty Station Arts District in San Diego, California, VMOTA educates and inspires our community through exhibitions, programs and events that promote the appreciation and understanding of quilts and related textiles as fine art.

VMOTA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is an equal opportunity employer and considers all candidates for employment regardless of race, color, sex, age, national origin, creed, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or political affiliation.
