ARTIST STATEMENT

Weeds are my favorite plants to study and print. To make the humblest, most familiar weed provoke our astonishment and scrutiny. Printed here in blazing glory—the bright yellows and greens that are hidden inside the leaf and only seen when the leaf tannins react with the silk and print. These weeds reflect the sun and light of a California summer.
