ARTIST STATEMENT
I made “Big Blue” after “Ninja” and had some Marcia Derse fabric left over as well as some old indigo fabrics I had dyed. My good friend Rita Mroczek gifted me a jelly plate doily that I wanted to use too! I have so much fun playing intuitively and improvisationally in creating my quilts!
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES
Commercial and hand-dyed cotton fabric, wool/cotton batting, and polyester thread.
Machine-pieced, and machine-quilted (sit down longarm quilting machine).
