Title: Vida Fronteriza
2024
Price: $1,500
Tapestry of Hues: Vida Fronteriza was inspired by the shapes and lines found at the border between Tijuana and San Diego, especially at the pedestrian crossings that allow people to move from one side to the other. The design of the tapestry reflects the geometry of these border structures, where lines and shapes intertwine dynamically. Each knot and every color in the fabric represents the interconnection between both cities. It is a tribute to the cultural and human richness that arises from the interaction between two countries.
Materials: Hand-dyed cotton rope
Technique: Tapestry knotting

Camu Skin represents the border cities as an organism adapted to its environment in order to survive. The camouflage pattern in this piece suggests the adjustment made by the city amidst economic and social disparity. More than just hiding, the camouflage in this artwork implies a constant modification to find a dynamic balance in a changing and diverse environment.

Title: Tumble Dry
2019
Price: $340
The pieces from this series, called "Permanent Press," were made with discarded clothes, soil, rocks, and found objects, picked up from empty lots around my neighborhood. The series comments on consumption and its impact on the degradation of the environment and how, in our relationship with nature, this cycle of production and consumption exhausts natural resources and puts pressure on our own bodies.
