ARTIST STATEMENT
My inspirations were manuscripts, cathedrals, illuminati, “I/Eye” homophone, the Eye of Providence symbology, “I am”/ Theosphy movement, illumination/enlightenment hidden at the outer edges, and marbled end pages.
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES
Cotton quilting fabric, hand drawn Gothic calligraphy ink jet printed onto fabric, cotton and metallic threads.
Machine pieced modified Cathedral Window blocks, machine embroidery, and free motion quilting.
