All Stacked Up in My Head

ARTIST STATEMENT
Inside our heads, we carry all these personalities: the inquisitive child, the scared teen, the protector with his arms around her, the mother of them all keeping us calm and collected, holding all of it together, carrying a mountain of worries on her head. I’m often confronted by an issue, a worry, an anxiety, a problem, and I hear them all in my head, the child first asking a simple question, with the teen behind, her panic apparent, the hug that calms, and the mature voice that answers, layers in my head, all stacked up. This piece is a visual of all the insides.
We’re all in it together.
