ARTIST STATEMENT

Combining traditional piecing techniques with African influenced vibrant fabric. The depth of vibrancy and soul that the fabric adds is amazing. I am a fairly new quilter and was inspired by my sister-in-law who is an avid quilter. When I envision a quilt it takes on a life of its own and I am not content until I see the final product. It is something that begins as a thought, an imagined product yet the joy it brings to those who receive the final product gives an indescribable feeling of contentment. This is the legacy I wish to leave.
