ARTIST STATEMENT
Tints and shades of golden yellow are so prevalent in California that we call it the Golden State. We think of the Gold Rush, California poppies, the Golden Gate Bridge, the golden sunshine, and the center of a rainbow.
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES
Materials: Cotton, linen, silk, polyester, and blended quilting and decorator fabrics; ribbon; cording; perle cotton; yarn; embroidery thread and heavy gold quilting thread.
Techniques: Top-stitched curves and a variety of embroidery stitches.
