ARTIST STATEMENT
The illumination theme immediately took my mind to the depths of the ocean. As a scuba diver, I loved seeing everything light up a whole new world. Jellyfish are intoxicating as they bounce and flutter about while their insides light up. They are free to just enjoy the waves without resistance. Watching them brings me peace.
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES
Cheesecloth, beads, lace, and threads.
Machine and hand stitching.
