ARTIST STATEMENT
Illuminated by late afternoon light, the efflorescence of radiant yellow-orange poppies gracefully flutter with each breeze, growing randomly in unexpected areas, infusing me with joy, and instilling positivity in my day. I know these fragile beauties will continue to thrive even in these difficult times.
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES
Batik and printed cotton fabrics. Oil based color pencils, water soluble colored pencils, brush and water for blending.
Raw edge fused appliqué, coloring and blending with oil based color pencils. Water soluble colored pencils, brush, and water for blending.
