ARTIST STATEMENT

While previous quilts in my kaleidoscopic series explored the circular and symmetrical effects of two and three mirror kaleidoscopes, this quilt is based on a rectangular rather than triangular system. The repeated images created are striped patterns, since the reflections move directionally up-down and right-left. It was about time I tried something new.
