ARTIST STATEMENT

I am currently working on this Grid Series based on my acrylic paintings. This piece gives the feeling of planets or circular forms floating in space. I enjoy adding black and white graphic printed fabrics to the paintings that I then include in the quilt. The small 5 inch format of each of the blocks allows me to work slowly and enjoy the embroider on each block which reflects how I am feeling on that particular day.
