ARTIST STATEMENT

After I finished my larger format pieces I found a couple of photos of logos in my collection of photos. I realized that a grouping of 16” x 23” logos would be a good addition. But I only had two photos. So that meant a second trip down to Georgia for another expedition. After photographing dozens more logos, I was finally satisfied with my collection.

MATERIALS

Parchment paper, light fusible web, organza, metallic acrylic paint, markers, paint pens, water-soluble ink block, wool batting, cotton backing

Drawing, painting, transferring, machine quilting
