ARTIST STATEMENT
In finding this plastic skeleton sitting “shotgun” in the passenger seat I laughed and laughed. It was just too delicious not to use in my series. I decided to include the smart phone to add a bit more humor. Originally I was going to call it Dead Zone but I finished this piece at the end of March 2020. It seemed to have taken on a whole new meaning with the advent of COVID. It no longer seemed funny to me but more a bit goulish. So I changed the title to Your Call is Important to Us… We all have been left hanging on hold for minutes, or even hours and can relate. It still makes me laugh.
