ARTIST STATEMENT

I teach science. Every student knows Bill Nye. They yell “Bill! Bill! Bill!,” then tell me everything they’ve learned from Bill. You know why he’s my hero? The videos are great and help teach science. Bill could have just made those videos, cashed the checks, and put his feet up. But he didn’t. He went into the world, using his knowledge to argue about climate change, our human responsibility to the planet, and even women’s rights worldwide. He wants to make the world a better place, to educate everyone about fixing what we’ve done. That’s why he’s my hero.
