ARTIST STATEMENT
In 2020, human beings have been faced with a world-wide pandemic unlike any seen over the last 100 years. The world outside our homes is no longer safe to inhabit the way we once did and a “new normal” exists. Covid-19 is a destructive force threatening life on our precious planet and creating unimaginable havoc, suffering and death. This abstract piece interprets the world grieving as a result of such human loss and suffering. The mighty forces of the world and human life are compromised as their symbiotic balance is disrupted.
