ARTIST STATEMENT

In the original image the faded blue, yellow, and orange captured my attention. Once again with the complimentary colors, which seem to attract me, I decided to go for it and make the colors as intense and vivid as it (probably) was when it was new. The banners in the logo posed a new and fun challenge.

MATERIALS

Parchment paper, light fusible web, organza, metallic acrylic paint, markers, paint pens, water-soluble ink block, wool batting, cotton backing

Drawing, painting, transferring, machine quilting
